Free quick check for your machinery technical file

Choose your technical file folder and see which Annex IV documents are likely missing. Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

What are you checking?

Drop your technical file folder or ZIP here

PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images, up to 1,000 files.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and it keeps working offline.

The quick check looks at the folder of one machine and tells you which documents of the technical file are likely missing. It reads file names, folder names and the first page of every PDF in your browser. No account, no upload.

What it checks

The checklist follows Annex IV of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230: Part A for complete machinery, Part B for partly completed machinery. For each item it looks for at least one matching document:

  • general description, overall drawing and control circuit diagrams
  • detailed drawings and calculations
  • risk assessment and the list of standards applied
  • test reports
  • instructions for use, or assembly instructions for partly completed machinery
  • the EU declaration of conformity, or the declaration of incorporation

Along the way it points out a few things worth checking: a drawing that sits in the folder in two revisions, a declaration that still names Directive 2006/42/EC, instructions without a language in the file name, and PDFs that are scanned or cannot be opened.

What it does not do

The quick check does not open Word, Excel or CAD files and does not compare the contents of documents. A document that is in the folder can still refer to an old revision or state a different motor power than the datasheet. Finding those contradictions is the job of the AI review, which reads every page and quotes the page for each finding.

It also does not decide whether your machine meets the requirements. That decision stays with you and, where required, with a notified body.

Your files stay on your computer

Everything happens in this browser tab. The files are read locally, the result is shown on this page and disappears when you close it. To keep it, use "Print or save as PDF".

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?
No. The quick check runs entirely in your browser. Files are read on your computer and nothing is sent to a server. It keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
How does it know which documents are in the folder?
From file names, folder names and the first lines of the first page of each PDF, matched against keywords in English, German, Turkish, Italian, French, Spanish, Polish and Dutch.
Does the quick check tell me whether my documents are correct?
No. It only shows which kinds of documents seem to be there. Whether revisions, values and the declaration match across documents is what the AI review checks, page by page.
Does it work for partly completed machinery?
Yes. Choose partly completed machinery and the check uses Annex IV Part B, with assembly instructions and a declaration of incorporation instead of the EU declaration of conformity.
